Though, the guys at UAD must have versions of their plug-ins that RUN on standard x86 platforms, and probably, they run much faster on old I7 3770k or I5 2500k cpus than on their cheapo dsp processors, as they have chosen to work with some of the least expensive and least powerful shark DSPs.
